This is the land of kudu, black wildebeest, zebra, red hartebeest and bush pig - and of course the original area of the of the Cape buffalo.
The photos below are typically what the land looks like. After an early breakfast we'll set out with the hunting truck to an area from where we can glass a sunlit eastern slope, yard by yard to look for kudu sunning themselves. Once seen we estimate the horn size and if we like it we plan the stalk. A clever way is to approach from the sun up side but often a detour to get ourselves at higher elevation than the animal will be required by the geography.
Shots are often downhill so the hunter must be sure to aim correctly for that if the shots are beyond 200 yards. Normally your guide will always get you to within 250 yards - we do not shoot beyond that.
