While local hunters do not really hunt these pretty little antelope there indeed is a move by owners of the twelve elk-size South African antelope trophies to also collect the Tiny Ten. (Photos and descriptions in this Category are mostly from Kruger National Park archives).
While a .22LR is quite adequate to hunt any of these there is an old Colonial-time law still on the books that does not allow a .22 LR to be used on any antelope. To save the skin a .22 Hornet with well constructed or even FMJ bullets is just excellent for the possible shots beyond 100 yards.
Eagles are the most successful predators of these 16"-23" high creatures, but jackal, caracal, leopard and python help to keep their numbers in check.
